Machine Control Models & Earthwork Takeoffs in Ohio

Ohio might be the busiest warehouse floor in the Midwest — distribution boxes up and down I-70 and I-71, plus steady commercial and subdivision work around Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Dayton. TCL Consulting supplies Ohio contractors with earthwork takeoffs, 3D machine control models, and remote GPS support, all delivered remotely.

Quantities You Can Trust on Ohio Bids

Big flat boxes look simple until the clay gets wet and the balance shifts. We take off cut/fill, materials, and haul from your plans and CAD, and flag what the documents leave unclear before it becomes a change order fight.

Grade-Control Models for Ohio Equipment

From a Rickenbacker-area distribution pad to a Cincinnati hillside cut, we build finish grade, subgrade, and phased surfaces that match the design and run clean on your machines. Checked against the plans before anything ships.

Remote GPS Support Across Ohio

A crew in Toledo or Akron with a file that won't behave doesn't need a visitor — it needs the data fixed. We remote in, straighten it out, and keep production moving.

Common Questions

Send the new sheets and the model gets revised — it happens on most jobs and it is priced like the routine event it is. Larger redesigns can shift schedule or cost, and that conversation always happens up front.

Takeoff pricing is flat-rate by site size: $249 up to an acre, $499 from 1–10 acres, $895 from 10–20, and $1,349 for 20-plus. The rate is the same whether the site sits in Columbus or out along Cleveland, Dayton, and the I-70/I-71 warehouse corridors. Machine control model pricing runs through the calculator on our pricing page — enter the acreage and you have your number. Larger or unusually complex sites are always quoted before any work starts.

Expect a couple of days on simpler work and up to a week on intricate sites; the proposal pins the date so you can plan the bid. If the schedule is tight, sub-48-hour rush turnaround is available at a 20% premium.

There is no site visit — files, models, and support are all delivered remotely to Ohio crews from Columbus to Cincinnati. Stuck-on-grade calls are handled the same way, through the data. The contractor stays responsible for field control, localization, and verification before the model runs a machine.

Site plans, grading sheets, and the engineering drawings get a takeoff moving. For machine control models we need current CAD or surface data, alignments, and control — a PDF alone is not enough to build a model your machines can trust. Every job also starts with a document review that flags conflicts and missing information before building begins, so problems surface on paper instead of in distribution-pad balancing.
